Step into The Talking Teacup, a charming escape from everyday hustle. Housed in a historic home dating back to 1761; this isn’t just a teahouse – it’s a sanctuary. From the moment you cross the threshold, you’re enveloped in the warm, nostalgic aroma of “Grandmom’s house.” Our unique blend of Eclectic, Shabby Chic, and Antique Vintage decor creates a cozy, timeless atmosphere that invites you to leave the busy world behind. Whether you’re here for the history or the atmosphere, our doors are open with a simple invitation: come relax and enjoy.
Our gourmet-style food is freshly crafted daily to celebrate the flavors of the season. We believe your culinary journey should be just as breathtaking as the surroundings.
Welcome to a taste of the unexpected! To showcase the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, our chef curates a new menu weekly—sometimes daily—inspired by the season. We don’t list our flavors because we love surprising you with delightful new treats every time you return. Come experience a fresh take on tea time.
Our Last Tea!
It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we announce that June will be the final month that The Talking Teacup will be open. Like many small businesses in our challenging economy, we are unable to sustain operations with the continually rising costs of supplies and other expenses.
We are grateful for every guest who walked through our doors, celebrated a birthday, shared tea with friends, attended a special event, or made The Talking Teacup part of their story. Thank you for supporting a small business and allowing us to be part of so many special moments.
We are grateful for our incredible staff who worked tirelessly to create the warm and welcoming experience our guests have come to know and love.
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, we served our final tea.
For the last time, we baked our scones, prepared our tea sandwiches, created our desserts, brewed our pots of tea, and lovingly served each course.
As I looked around this weekend, I realized it was also the last time I would work alongside my incredible team—my wonderful nieces, Kylie, Ayla, Abriana, and Avalina, along with Madison, who truly became part of our family. I also want to thank Melissa, Claire, and my sisters, April and Bonnie, who stepped in whenever we truly needed an extra hand. And to all of our past Teacup employees who were part of this journey over the years, thank you. Each of you brought your own talents, kindness, laughter, and heart to The Talking Teacup. You all helped create the memories our guests experienced, and I will always be grateful for everything you gave to our guests and to me.

The Talking Teacup is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and truly wonderful!!!! You can tell they genuinely care about creating a special experience for their guests. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy good company. The sandwiches were so yummy, and the bread pudding was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, seriously unforgettable. This place is one of a kind.
